It happens to us all the time.

And we have often had the debate between choosing to wear sneakers and be comfortable, but with a sporty look, or choosing a more suitable shoe, but sacrificing comfort.

But what if you didn't have to choose?

That is precisely one of the things we are constantly working on at Dalmatán. We search, day after day, and test after test, for ways to make an elegant, comfortable, original and, of course, ALWAYS EMBROIDERED shoe.

Because it is difficult to find the perfect balance between an original, exclusive, elegant and, in addition, comfortable shoe.

Christian Louboutin did not share this opinion, saying: “I would hate for someone to look at my shoes and say: Oh! They look so comfortable.”

For him, the first thing was that they were pretty. For Dalmatán too. And not only pretty, but also exclusive and embroidered.

But for us, a shoe that “tortures” you is not the best shoe. And we spend a lot of time working on it, to continue improving, to give the design a “further twist”, to change materials, insoles, linings, soles… and achieve a perfect combination.

And it is not always easy, because many elements are involved in making a shoe and achieving harmony between all of them requires a great deal of coordinated work between very different hands.

What does Dalmatán do to achieve that balance between comfortable and elegant shoes?

The first thing to do is to choose shoes that are not completely flat. There is a middle ground between stiletto heels that destroy your feet and flat ballet flats that make you walk on the ground.

That's why we opted to include a bit of a heel in our models. Typically, ballerina flats have a heel height of around 0.5 cm. And currently, our shoes have a heel of between 1.5-2 cm.

It may not seem like much, but that small difference makes a huge difference in comfort. That slight heel helps redistribute the weight of the foot and avoid the sensation of walking on a hard board.

Elegance without pain: why choose comfortable shoes

Another point we work on is using the right materials for lining, insole, etc. Using a padded insole “with memory” that recovers its shape and walks with you is also essential to ensure better comfort.

At the same time, we are working to improve the materials of the linings and make them comfortable, flexible, breathable and supportive. Because design is not everything: comfort also has to be part of the shoe's DNA.

And can you wear comfortable shoes at weddings and parties?

Although it may not seem so, it is also possible.

We've all been there: the first few hours of the wedding, perfect. Four hours later, dancing barefoot.

The key to surviving an entire party without sacrificing style is a shoe with the right height, flexible materials and a good cushioned sole.

Because if your shoes hurt, your face will reflect it. And no amount of makeup can hide that.

That's why we have many clients who buy Dalmatians to wear after their weddings. They take off their stilettos and put on Dalmatians to still look elegant, but to be able to dance freely.

Comfortable and stylish shoes for your everyday life

But it's not just a matter of events. Every day is a battle between style and comfort.

Going to work, running errands, going out with friends... And in every situation you need something that goes with everything, that doesn't make you sigh with relief when you take it off, and that also makes you feel well dressed.

A well-designed shoe changes everything.

The idea that "to show off, you have to suffer" still exists.

But honestly, the best look is the one that allows you to move without pain, smile without pretending and enjoy without thinking about your feet.
