A glimpse of the beginning
Reinventing the embroidered shoe
It all started with an idea and with a “jump into the pool”… Like that, like crazy…
We had always liked this type of embroidered shoe, but we wanted it with better quality, different designs, different patterns, lasts, soles...
And, no matter how much we searched, IT DID NOT EXIST...
Therefore, we decided to create our Dalmatans.
At that moment, we didn't know what we were getting into... (and today, neither...)
Before launching into big production, we had to prove that people wanted the same thing as us.
We looked for an artisan in Southeast Asia and made a small production with pre-existing designs, modifying some details.
We started testing it among people and, above all, listening to what they wanted.
We were soon left without any. And we had thousands of improvement proposals. "So, what can we do now?"
That's where the great adventure REALLY began.

FROM IDEA TO WORK OF ART
We started testing, listening to each customer, and making samples to achieve what we wanted.
Today each Dalmatian is almost a work of art, designed and embroidered with hundreds of thousands of stitches and crafted by the finest hands.
We don't follow calendars or seasons, nor do we subscribe to the fast fashion trend. Each model is released when it's ready, in limited editions, after a slow and meticulous process that requires many hours for each pair.
They're not always 100% the same, nor are they 100% perfect. That's the magic. It's the craftsmanship. It's the mark of the person who made it. It's the human, authentic part, without AI.

2019
Suddenly the idea came
And we started doing the first tests, manufacturing some models for girls and women.
2020 Precovid
First changes
We started changing the insoles, adding our logo and brand and we started manufacturing a second production.
2020 POSTCOVID
More sales
The pandemic delayed the delivery a lot, but it finally arrived. This second production already incorporated some of its own design. And that summer everything was sold.
2021
New lasts
We made two lasts in Spain (pointed and round) and began to design based on new patterns.
2022
New soles and designs
We changed the soles and materials, we incorporated the flat heel with more height, which you asked so much, and we started manufacturing only our designs.
2023-2025
CHANGE TO SPAIN
To improve processes and qualities we decided to manufacture in Spain & Portugal. We visited factories and talked to many experts. Our product was (and is) not easy to assemble... and this work is being complex.
Future
A thousand challenges
We have many things left to improve and implement. Our shoes have a great artisan component and many stitches. And such meticulous work involves countless adjustments.
That makes us different?
Nobody else does it
Dalmatán is for curious women. The kind who stop to admire an old façade, step into a bookshop without knowing exactly what they’re looking for, or wander down an unfamiliar street just to see where it leads. It’s for women who ask questions, who are eager to discover, and who find beauty in places others simply pass by.
Made in Spain & Portugal
We started manufacturing in Spain and also tested in Portugal. The only thing we produce abroad is the embroidery, and we do it with small communities of artisans specialized in this craft.

We are not just a shoe brand. Our Dalmatans define an attitude towards life, the desire to be better, to give of yourself to others, to enjoy, to live, to dream and to dance regardless of what they will say...

Not only are they exclusive and highlight your personality, but they are also the most comfortable. Some of our clients no longer wear other shoes.
A family project
Who's behind
I’m Silvia. And if I had to define myself in just one word, it would be curious.
I have always loved discovering new things. A book that makes me think, a city I don’t know, a hidden church, or a detail that most people would simply overlook.
I like to observe. To understand. To learn.
That curiosity is what led me to create Dalmatán.
What started as a search for a shoe I couldn’t find became a way of bringing to life everything that inspires me. And embroidery is, for me, the perfect language to do so.
This project was born alongside my mother, who has been by my side since day one. Together, we have learned a craft we knew nothing about, made mistakes, celebrated small achievements, and built a brand that continues to evolve every day.
Today, we are still working hand in hand, designing, learning, and searching for new ways to transform everything we discover into embroidered art.

why is it called dalmatan?
What makes a Dalmatian dog unique is its spots. Without them, it would still be a beautiful dog, but it would lack the one thing that makes it unmistakable.
The same is true of our designs. Embroidery transforms a simple fabric into something special. That’s how our name was born.
But over time, we discovered it meant much more than that.
Because the dog in Dalmatán is not just a logo. It is a symbol of everything we believe in.
It represents the way of seeing the world that inspires us every day: the curiosity of someone who is always eager to discover something new, the ability to find joy in life’s small pleasures, and the authenticity of being yourself without worrying about fitting in.
The dog is a constant reminder to keep exploring, keep learning, and keep transforming everything we discover into embroidered art.
That is Dalmatán. And it would be impossible without its symbol.
